Ah, Valentines Day. A chance to show your true love how you really feel. And on Valentines Day in Belfast restaurants this year there is so much going on you'd be hard pushed not to find something that not only suits you and your partner, but also your budget. And, what's more, going out on Valentines Day to Belfast restaurants is an excellent way to show how you feel, because, let's be honest guys, you sometimes need a little help with romantic gestures.

This year they've made it easy for you as this Valentines Day Belfast restaurants are putting on all sort of special menus and little extras to help you make your partner's heart beat a little faster.
If money is no object you should head to Ten Square. This trendy boutique hotel houses an equally trendy restaurant - Porcelain - and if you can't take your partner away for the weekend (or you simply can't stretch your money that far), you can at least soak up that 'we're in a hotel' feeling because it's offering Valentines dinner package.
It's £65 per person, which, although it sounds expensive, looks like it'll be well worth it. Ladies, I think you'll agree with me when I say there are somethings which, when you imagine a romantic evening, immmediately spring to mind. They are rose petals, jazz, candles and champagne, and at Porcelain they've got the whole gamut. When you arrive you'll be given a bottle of Tattinger champagne and shown to a candlelit table strewn with rose petals, and then served a six-course dinner. And as you eat, a jazz band will be gently skatting in the corner. You also get a special Valentines gift.

Another boutique hotel to put its heart on its sleeve is Malmaison. Its Mal Brasserie restaurant is putting on a special three-course dinner full of sumptious dishes such as foie gras, oyster veloute, fruits de mer and mains such as chicken, seabass and rack of lamb, followed by a dark chocolate fondant with white chocolate ice cream and other desserts. It's £45 per person, and you get a glass of Balfour Brut Rose.

But we're not all made of money, and no doubt you're feeling the pinch of this horrible credit crunch. However, guys, you can't use this as a reason not to show your better half a good time. You can still spend Valentines Day at Belfast restaurants without blowing your budget. For example, Zen is offering a deal on a three-course meal for two for £44, and any bottle of house wine for £50. They promise to give all ladies a special gift as well.

Another option which is kinder on the wallet is at Circles Restaurant at the Park Plaza Hotel. They're offering a three-course evening meal for £25 per person, which isn't bad. Or you could head to the Galgorm Resort and Spa which is offering a dinner package on both February 13 and 14 in both the River Room and Gillies. River Room is the splurge option, with a five-course meal and champagne reception for £45 per person on February 13, and £55 for the same package on February 14. Couples also receive a special valentines gift. But if you're sticking to a budget you can book into Gillies at the Galgorm Resort and Spa which is offering a three-course dinner with wine for £60 a couple on February 13, and the same package for February 14 for £70 per couple.

There are of course a host of other options for Valentines Day in Belfast restaurants, and some of them are simply offering a few chefs specials such as Villa Italia. And if you need further inspiration you can always check out our Recommended Romantic Restaurants.
And after you've spent Valentines Day at Belfast Restaurants you could head to the Queens Film Theatre which is screening Moulin Rouge. Lotharios, it's over to you...
