I was very annoyed when i went to the cinema for the cheap tuesday night deal only to find it was every other tuesday of course it was not the right tuesday i and my friends had chose ...so we waited till the following week then we missed a week and went this tuesday which as we assumed would be the 3.00 tuesday only to be told the tuesday deal was over ?? now please note that there was no signs up inside on the last tuesday to say this deal was ending ....we were not the only customers annoyed and we would like to say this is extremely bad customer service ....and may i also add that we had a party with us whom were very let down ,as this deal was not advertised very well and confused a lot of customers as to the tuesday it actually applied to i think you should re think your offers and display the dates in future and also the ending date . and may i also add that your prices for confectionary are extreme its a very expensive night out for a family of 4 .I also noticed last time i was there people were just going and sitting on the more expensive seats without paying the premium ...bit unfair dont you think when others have to pay .
went to cinema 3 on Tuesday 23rd June to watch Terminator and what a shock we got-- the volume of the film was horrendous as it was too too loud- spoilt the whole film - and no doubt has caused ear damage.
The cinema was also very very poorly lit, and somewhat dangerous when trying to find your seat ( we arrived well before and screening so the lights should not have been dimmed - or shoud I say non existent.
Needless to say our first experience of the Omniplex was not a good one and we certainly will not be going again....
i must say that this cinema is beautiful when you enter it is clean and smells good. the screens are a good size picture is clean and clear the sound is to die for.
afterwards speaking to the staff it was a pleasure to speak to them as i was leaving both very funny and made it a really good night out for the kids and me, we had gone to see Star Trek, and it was a great experience made better because of how friendly these staff members.
however i do have one complaint and would urge Dundonald cinema to think about it, a staff member gave the kids a telling off for standing round the pic n mix, but there where adults standing there too and he didnt say anything to them.
when i tried to complain he just passed me off and when i speaking to the nice staff members he just hid behind the counter.
so do please go to this cinema it nice clean and a good movie going experience, just avoid this man.
I must say i had a jolly good time at the omniplex, me myself being quite old thought i would be out of place in this new complex but i was glad to say the staff were friendly and attentive.
upon reading further comments on the omniplex i cannot possibly understand how some people could complain, the service from which i recieved was 1st class.
I will be back again weather permitting to see these chaps again.
Where do I Start.Upon arrival to the Dundonald Ominplex I was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of car parking spaces with ample room to maneuver.
The lack of eating establishments are evident with only an overpriced Gourmet burger joint which I quickly avoided my kids attention by promising copious amounts of sweets & steady flow of fizzy beverages in the omniplex.
As we made our way to the most welcoming of cinema entrances I have ever graced, very clear. On to the main event
Entering the fantastic omniplex,We were greeted by friendly staff who were attentive and responsive, and compared to some of these slacked jawed gawkers you find at a lot of entertainment and food courts, rather intelligent.
one of my little fetishes i have was more than indulged with getting "mixed popcorn",a personal favourite of the great american world war 2 hero "McArthur" i may add, which only went on to increase my anticipation on how far this omniplex would go to accommodate its patrons.
The picture we had come to see,"Marley & Me" was given a rather good review by none other than Roger Ebert,(a man not easliy moved unless forced by ones hand to accept popular opinion)which i readliy accepted compared to say,Pamela Ballintine film appraisal at the end of UTV at six on Friday.
Seating was comfortable and visibiltiy was fine and did not experience any difficulties with people sporting large hats or oversized heads.
The sound took me rather by surprise and my youngest son,who had to be calmed down in the toilets, again very clean, accessible.
On leaving ,you knew by the understanding glances & comforting smiles from the staff after such a sad ending to a film, had to be acknowledged as excellent training.
Well it was the best cinema experience i have,or indeed my family have enjoyed.all in all a great day or night out and i certainly will be back, sanity permitting
Overall decent place but was let down last night by the ignorant and rude staff who banged the cleaners lights on an glared at everyone in the screen until they left.
Credits had only started going up and there was still clips to watch in the credits. I thought this was very unprofessional especially the comment mumbled to his colleague about us as we left.
I like cinemas and judge them on friendlyness off staff , quality of theatres etc.The Omniplex at Dundonald is brand new and smacks of high professionalism. The staff are attentive and helpfull, the main foyer is clean ans tidy.
The theatres from the small screening rooms to the larger ones are first rate and the seats are very comfortable, The pictures on the screen is fantastic and the sound system is awesome to say the least about it.I have no bother recomending this multiplex, and as a paying customer I will be back time and time againDKH46
