Bambu Beach Club

terrible, trying to get into this place.. same happens everytime. one week they allow you in, the next, they humiliate the life out of you... would honestly say ive never seen the like of it.dont understand how they continue to get away with it. All the big acts have after parties in here,therefore everyone wants to go.. they should put a notice outside the odyssey saying "anyone looking to attend the beach club" and the criteria for getting past the doormen after it...

I can concur with the previous gentleman's comments about the hugely power tripped doormen. Myself and 2 girlfriends went to the Beach Club last night after the Cheryl concert. On our way we were met by 4 girls aged mid to late 20's who told us they were turned away for having no id and that the doormen were a-holes. Considering we were aged between 28-34 with 4 children between us we didn't think that would be our problem, but surprise. Surprise we were asked for id being told it was for 'insurance purposes'. We were a bit shocked but nevertheless produced id in the form of my driving license, only to be told that the picture wasn't me! Honestly like! Couldn't believe it, asked the doorman for his name to complain to his management, wouldn't give it to me. It's unfortunate for decent security workers that get a bad name because of these bouncers who are too thick to understand that the more people there are in the club there is a greater likelihood of job security for them and the rest of the workers in the club. Ps I don't think it deserves any stars in the ratings by the way but I can't submit the review without giving at least 1.

your only welcome if your 16-22, doormen are the typical uneducated fools, refusing entry to decent people for no reason!! i got refused simply because i was bigger than the doormen unreal, my friend got refused because he had boots on lol, another friend because he had a piercing ... " All decent people stay away from this place " cant wait til it closes down just like every other bar in the odyssey :) " NO ENTRY = NO MONEY = NO JOBS " £££...

I found the people in the beach club to be sectarian in nature, they will ask if you are a protestant or a catholic before the speak to you. It gets very crowded and the door staff seem very cheeky to the customers in general however the bar men and women are friendly. Fights started outside the odyssey and I witnessed a event security guard turn a blind eye to someone being jumped and allowed them to do it. The value cabs outside when ordered will arrive but instead of picking you up may just pick up someone travelling further for a bigger fare and my taxi driver was again sectarian and discriminated against me. I left Belfast years ago and live in England and realise that in terms of sectarianism Belfast still hasn't changed much since I left in the 90's
