3 Pattersons Place,
Hosting some of the worlds best DJs, Thompsons is one of Belfast's best clubs. They have been supplying the city with quality beats for 13 years and don’t look like stopping any time soon.

Unbelievably discraceful, do not go to this club, class A drugs floating about everywhere, ppl taking them in toilets, egotistic staff (the blonde one with the big nose selling shots) making scenes, top of the range bouncers literally kicking the shit out if a guy who got thrown out. This guy was onthe floor in a ball and about 4 bouncers were actually kicking the life out if him. Blood everywhere, wish I had it on video. This place is an absolute dive. The only reason there is one star instead if none is because u have to select at least one.
Decided to go on a Wednesday night as they said they had 'great student drinks promos' so went in, alright layout, bit cramped and nothing overly special about the place. Drink promos included double vodkas and red bulls for £5, but it stated no where that this ended at 12.30, (although on the same menu it had jagerbombs £3* til 12.30 clearly stated so when I ordered one at 12.40 they charged me £9.60 and offered no explanation! Also selected cocktails were 2 for 1 although at £5.50 each, it was not even worth it. The only cocktail available on the 2 for 1 deal was strawberry daiquiris which tasted like syrup and were in averaged sized Martini glasses, as it was 2 for 1 I didn't mind but I wouldn't pay that price for one. Bar staff were quite rude, didn't thank you and often serve other people who had just arrived at the bar regardless of how long you were waiting. Overall would avoid again, although the smoking area was pretty nice, there was vomit on the stairs as I went up. I alerted the bouncer who said he'd get someone to clean it but two hours later it was still not cleaned. Really not impressed.
Haven't been to Thompsons for a few months went Thur 6th Dec 2012 girls night out and was disappointed best dj not there Tez loved his Tunes! Soho Sadshannon and girls
I'd have to say on my fourth or fifth time at Thompsons in about two years, its becoming a bit "same'ish". The music is fine, but a bit hard to classify. However, when its a Fri or Sat night and your favourite pub has closed its doors in the city centre and you don't want to pay and arm and leg by taxi to get to a venue elsewhere in the city, Thompsons is a handy choice. A £5 door fee and you're there til 3am. There used to be a phrase used in an ad for mortages "compact and bijou" I would say for a night club this has to apply to Thompsons, given the scale of other (well lit) multi room venues now available in Belfast and elswhere in the province. Dare I say it and I genuinely am trying to be kind, but the venue could do with a good cleaning. Seedy is the term that comes to mind now when I think of Thompsons. Sorry guys, that's my opinion and I'm sure others must share it. Rico.
Pumping tunes!!!!! What a off key club!
