Halloween at Belfast Clubs
When
Halloween 2009
Where
Belfast Clubs
Choosing where to celebrate Halloween at Belfast Clubs is going to be tough this year because there's so much going on. Where is best to show off that finely honed warlock outfit? Here's a rundown of the best Halloween nights in the city for 2009.
Funky Freaks
There's more than enough Halloween events in Belfast to keep you busy, but for some truly spirited celebrating you can't beat Halloween at Belfast clubs. At Club Mono they're hosting the Leeds-based club night Kissdafunk but with an evil twist. Dig out your best witchy wig and get your tickets to some quality Ibiza house at the Kissdafunk Halloween Ball.
Sketchy Halloween
Yello at Mynt is also combining house music with a Halloween theme. DJ Lottie will be on the decks as will Dibby Dougherty, Sam Bailey and Adam Carter. Fancy dress is, of course, encouraged. And over at Stiff Kitten the massive club night Sketchy will be overseeing proceedings for Halloween. Dress up and get down!
Bedlam Ballroom
The Black Box put on some of the best events for Halloween at Belfast clubs and this year they're hosting the burlesque night Bedlam Ballroom. There'll be entertainment from Vicky Butterfly, Amelie Soleil, Ed Muir, Marianne Cheesecake and the music is in the form of Misfits tribute band Psycho 78.
Evil Kiss
For a Crazy, Crazy Night this Halloween at Belfast clubs head to see Hotter Than Hell, the Kiss tribute band, who are performing at The Empire Music Hall. Obviously they'll be dressing up in true Gene Simmonds' black-and-white-style so it's unlikely you'll look out of place in your wizard hat.
Halloween Metal Meeting
Dark forces will gather in the suburbs of Ormeau for the Halloween Metal Meeting at Rosetta Bar. Even mini-metalheads are invited to this heavy metal meet as it runs from 2pm. But they'll have to hop on their Harleys at 7.30pm as this is when the bar opens. As it's an all-dayer, who knows what will be going on come the magic midnight hour but with music from Mael Mordha, Two Tales of Woe and Valediction, it should be messy.
The Shining
Truly terrifying entertainment is on offer at the Grand Opera House. To set the mood for a scary winter night there'll be a screening of Stephen King's classic tale The Shining starring Jack Nicholson. Nicholson's character starts going a bit loopy after too many nights spent drinking with the evil ghosts and ghouls of a vacant hotel. The screening is followed by a hot buffet and DJ until late.
Events for Halloween at Belfast Clubs take place on and around 31st October 2009.
