If you happen to spend quite a bit of time in pubs,as I do myself, you tend to divide them into two types, the there's your drink, give us your money dont disturb us,buy more or bugger of ie a drink farm money making business or you have the friendly we care is everything all right hope you are having a good time sort of place.
Suprise suprise I have discovered another sort of pub in the Cloth Ear.All the more suprising in that it's a city center pub the staff are friendly without being intrusive the food is excellent the prices are reasonable combined with a slightly international atmosphere due to the fact that it is part of probably the best hotel in Belfast,a rare combination in any city in the world.
It is a rare thing to find truly hard working friendly staff nowadays in any service industry but the Cloth Ear is the exception to the rule.
I highly recommend this place and if six stars were available I would have no hesitation in awarding them to this pub.First Class
Had Christmas Lunch there and the food was bland and tasteless.
I love this place. Great food, brilliant staff and a bar you can actually hear each other talk in! Some really good deals on midweek and its perfect for a few drinks to start the weekend. One of the best bars in town I'd say.
lovely bar, lots of different drinks and food to choose from.
