My advice would be keep on driving until you find somewhere that is not overpriced, and a service which is not deplorable.

This has to be one of the most overpriced restaurants (?) i have ever had the misfortune to visit. Very rude staff, disgusting toilets and food which is at best described as bland. Drive right on by is the best advice i can give. Not even worthy of one star.

Had a fantastic meal here last weekend. Menu and ambiance was outstanding! I was also very impressed with the food. It was mouthwatering to say the least. The staff were very helpful. A special mention to our waitress Ellen who was both friendly and attentive. Thank you, we will be back. I would strongly recommend a visit!

My wife and I had lunch here recently, food and service were great. My only complaint would be that they should have had the fire lit or central heating on as it was a bit cold. ( April )

Best thing about Paddys Barn is the road leading away from it. Dump - rude staff, crap menu - frozen buffalo and venison passed off as fresh meat! And the wine looks like a medical sample. Get a chinese instead!

Hi Paddys Barn

This is a message from your Australian Bed & Breakfast guests!

We just wanted to share with everyone how magnificent our recent visit was to Paddys Sleepy Orchard & our evening meal in Paddys Barn. We were very surprised of your wide range of Australian Wines! The food was delicious & we have never received hospitality quite like it on our tour of Ireland! Infact I would go as far to say it was the best we have ever experienced.

The food was outstanding; I personally have never tasted Buffalo quite like it! The owner of the restaurant - Mr Sloan was particularly helpful & friendly. I would like to congratulate the staff & management of Paddys Barn in their high standards & I will make sure that I visit Ireland again & particularly Saul, where I have found the heart of Irelands food & hospitality.

Paddys Barn - What a hidden gem?!

Went out for the day with the kids and stopped off at Paddys Barn. This was our first visit and I was so impressed.

The atmosphere was second to none and all the staff were very friendly. We had a delightful meal and the prices were very reasonable.

The Menu is out of this world! I had Kangaroo Steaks and my husband tried the Crocodile! We were extremly happy with our meal & we will definately be back!

Thanks to everyone at Paddys Barn for making us feel so welcome, see you soon!

Megan & Charlie

Hi,just came back from Christmas Day meal in Paddy's Barn. Raging about the price and quality of the food. We booked a table for today around two months ago. Until then we would have paid for turkey roast dinner around £10-£13 (well "digestable" price, if I can say so).

We knew we would pay more, because of the Christmas Day, but we didnot expect to be charged £49.95 (each) for 3 course meal, not differing to what we usually had! Not even a complimentary glass of wine, just tea. We were really disappointed. When we approached the waitress for a price breakdown we were told the prices have changed, mind the fact the Christmas menu didn't have any info about it, no prices on it, anyway. We certainly would not go for it if we have known!

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!..We were a group of 6 people going out for a quiet post Christmas dinner this last year (2 of which are shop floor managers @ Waitrose stores in England)

The waitress brough a horrible bottle of wine, which after we tried we told her we couldn't drink.. we then got another which was not great but drinkable.

Meals were TERRIBLE!.. Thai curry was like packet soup .. buffalo was like leather and completely inedible, steak was incinerated and poor quality.

When the bill turned up and they charged us for the first putrid bottle of wine, we asked them if they could kindly remove it, we would cut outr losses, pay up, and be on our way..

The management took the hump saying that "we don't let people taste the wine" ... and "nobody else has complained".. and my favourite "we can't just open every bottle of wine for you to taste" (yes Paddy, but does that mean you can serve dishwater and make people pay for that!?!)

One of my friends (a wine manager @ Waitrose) went to speak to paddy - he tried to tell her it was good wine.. she disagreed and told him of her qualifications... to which he replied "we don't need customers like you!"In conclusion..

drinks were poor, meals were disgusting.. and manager was possibly the rudest restaurant manager I have ever had the displeasure to meet.I would suggest going hungry rather than go to this terrible place again!...
