Myself and my partner decided to go for a meal at union street bar today. we both had the beef medallions, which looked amazing and smelt even better. unfortunately the food was cold the veg were slimy and after about two bites my partner found a hair in her food. which put me off mine. We let the bar staff know and to be fair they did offer an alternative but that would only have resulted in my partner picking through it. they didn't charge for one of the meals but i must say the staff were less than polite, and at one point basically insinuated that we had put the hair there ourselves regardless of the fact that it was a long curly blond hair that resembled absolutely nothing similar to our own hair. Needless to say we were disgusted with the service and wont be back.
been going to union street for a while now and went to union street bar on 5/12/13 for some food. the food looked amazing and smelt even better unfortunately after two bites of our beef medallions, my partner had found a hair in her food. to be fair the restaurant did offer an alternative and didn't charge for that meal although the staff were less than polite and in a way suggested that the hair was from one of us as to quote 'none of our kitchen staff have blond hair and neither do i. To say the least we were disgusted with the service here and wont be back.
Really enjoy union street any night of the week!
Its 7-9pm happy hour is always excellent on a night out, their cocktails are quite tasty and the entertainment is ALWAYS top notch!
However only flaw i have found is the food, although ok, i would have preferred to go somewhere else as i didn't find it extremely satisfying.
Great nights, any nights to be had!
