Four of us went to Coco tonight (Friday) for a meal. I wish I had eaten before I went - the portions were minute! Two of us had sea bass - 3 tiny pieces, accompanied by 4 baby asparagus and a few confit potatoes, garnished with a salsa. The food tasted great but was very overpriced for the portion size. Now I would never eat pub grub size but I still can't get over how little I was given! The other two friends had pork belly and salmon and there seemed to be a bit more eating in them, and they too were delicious. When ordering I did ask if I needed to order any sides and was assured it would not be necessary!! Ha!!

The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and the interior was inviting, but I'm afraid I won't be back. There are so many other great restaurants in the city centre to choose from and I wish I had chosen one of them instead. I will just put it down to experience.

Loved this restaurant! I had the red pepper and tomato soup to start, the peanut chicken for my main and like a chocolate torte for my main! Each dish was amazingly cooked and tasted great! Usually fancy restaurants have small portions but you get plenty of food here. Also the wine list was great! My boyfriends meal was just as nice. We will be back this weekend with friends from London.

Have been here several times. Eclectic and very interesting menu. A bit of everything to suit everyone. Asian, Fusion, British etc. Makes it a good place to bring people out to when you are not sure what everyone likes.

Had Thai here before. The real thing. Not seen it since then. Pity.

Have not yet been let down, especially when out with business contacts and/or friends. Funky/Retro look and feel (okay!....I have probably used the wrong adjectives to decribe the decor :o)

Service is v. good, location is excellent. Always, always v. good meat and damn good seafood wherever they source their produce.

Wines in Belfast are not cheap but Coco does a good job of keeping the prices allright. Hard to make money on wine really.

Yes..would recommend. Yes..will be going back. Thank you, Coco!

Was in Coco recently for the first time and had a warm welcome. The place is well decorated and our seats, which was like a corner sofa, were very comfortable. Coco caters for a more intellectual eater than I as I didn't understand half of what was on the menu but I ended up going for a long winded description of Battered Cod and Chips! (don't turn your nose up at me)despite my concerns of Coco being too fancy for me the food was outstanding. I haven't had better Cod anywhere before and the chips were, well. Chips. For 3 of us there was no change out of 85 quid and none of us were drinking. That is more than I usually pay for eating out. In short- good setting, friendly staff, great food but if your a pub grub kind of guy then you may feel out of your depth. Worth a visit.

Disappointing. Booked this when passing on Friday 29th January and were told we could have a table but would need to vacate by 9pm, no problem as in these recessionary times a restaurant needs to maximise its turnover. Arrived early for our 7pm sitting and were shown to a table in the back corner although most other tables were empty and remained so until we left. Our food order was taken and the starters arrived and were very tasty although my fritto misto was heavy on squid with a single morsel of salmon and two small prawns. We noted the absence of side-plates on our bare table which was devoid of any covering. The starters were served without any bread, nor were we asked if we required any, so that explained the non supply of side-plates. My partner did mention when asked if everything was ok with her starter that it would be better if served with breads.
Our main courses were pork belly and tempura of scallops hake and salmon. The pork was good as was the hake in the tempura the salmon sadly was dry and the scallop had become singular between menu and plate. All in all Coco did not cover itself in glory during our visit and certainly neither the service nor the food were of a standard to place this restaurant in the top level of places to eat in Belfast.

I eat in coco weekly and i must say it does claim or want to be a fine restaurant with side plates when not necessary if u have not even ordered bread!! I find it is more fine food, fine atmosphere, and fine time that makes coco the best place to-be in Belfast. maybe u should try it again this time book in advance, relax and let coco show u a great night out!!!

I went to this resaurant on friday and found it a very warm and well priced . The food was very good! They have a great wine list and bill came in under £100 for two with drinks. Well worth a visit and i will be back.

Must Visit

Cafe Vaudeville

This is a grand restaurant with a Parisian boudoir style interior- it needs to be seen to be believed!
